WATERSENS featured at the University of Pisa Forum on Transnational Policy Solutions

Policies addressing climate change and the ecological transition are increasingly central to discussions among governments, businesses, and environmental movements across Europe.
On 17 December 2025, at Polo Le Benedettine in Pisa, the Observatory on Politics and Institutions (OPI) of the University of Pisa (Department of Political Science) — of which KlinK Srl is a member — organised an international high-level expert meeting entitled “The Politics and Policy of Transnational Challenges”.
The conference brought together leading political scientists, researchers, and SMEs to discuss emerging forms of transnational governance and to identify breakthrough research areas for future collaborative partnerships.
Anna Rodeghiero and Paolo Santinello from KlinK Srl participated in the session “From local to global: governance practices and decision-making tools”, which focused on reconciling rigorous analytical approaches with the uncertainty policymakers face when dealing with sensitive issues such as climate emergencies.
The event also provided an opportunity to present the WATERSENS project and to share early insights into its expected outcomes, particularly its potential to support policymakers in simulating policy impacts and making more consistent, evidence-based decisions in areas such as water service decentralisation.
Overall, the meeting gathered around 20 experts and researchers from several prestigious Italian universities — including Milan, Bologna, Genoa, and Pisa — as well as representatives from the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa and the European University Institute, fostering a rich and multidisciplinary exchange.
We invite you to check the agenda of that day.
