WATERSENS at the D4RUNOFF Final Open Day

WATERSENS at the D4RUNOFF Final Open Day

On 12 November 2025, the WATERSENS project took part in the Final Open Day of the Horizon Europe D4RUNOFF project, joining researchers, experts from local water utility companies, and representatives from different municipalities from Denmark and other European cities to explore new approaches to managing urban water challenges.

WATERSENS Featured in the EU Corner – Poster Exhibition

As part of the event’s EU Corner, WATERSENS was showcased in the poster exhibition, where visitors had the opportunity to discover our project’s vision, key technologies, and pilot sites across Europe and South Africa. This exhibition served as a shared space for discussion, allowing participants to learn more about decentralised water management systems, their potential benefits, and how WATERSENS contributes to building climate-resilient communities.

We were honoured to present our work alongside three other European initiatives

  • BAPUR, exploring bio-inspired purification

Looking Ahead

We extend a warm thank you to the organisers of the D4RUNOFF Final Open Day for the invitation and the excellent coordination of the event. Being part of this event allowed WATERSENS to share progress, learn from peer projects, and contribute to a broader European dialogue on water resilience.

We look forward to continuing these collaborations and sharing more updates as the project moves forward.
